The Power of Smile …

I had the privilege of visiting my dear friend and sister Rita Tellefsdal in Oslo, Norway, staying in her wonderful dream home overlooking the stunning nature that is all over Norway… a continuous smile at that sight. ..

About four years ago, we met online as we were both registered in a Robin Sharma online course. And, of course, the smile on his identity photograph appealed to me. Thus began a dear and deep friendship that was destined to grow to mystical levels …

Rita has had an amazing life … as a child, she was exposed to a terrible “tragedy”, which, in my eyes, has taken her to a metaphysical level. What do I mean by this?

Rita’s extreme pain with “cornering”; however the intense light and wisdom that already characterized her as a child, led her to come into contact with her internal powers in a loud and precocious way …

As a world-renowned therapist, Rita has dedicated her life to helping others find themselves through their deep knowledge and wisdom with universal energy.

During the four days we spent together, we had the opportunity to enjoy the power of communication through silence, through sharing spaces and stories, through the celebration of two “girls playing barefoot in the pasture”, … but above all, through the exchange of smiles, between us and with others …

The power of a smile … and Rita asks us: what can your smile do for today’s world?

Let’s pause, enjoy these words and answer this important question…

Smile, it’s the engine of love.

Smile, and your brain will be getting instructions to produce endorphins, which makes you feel good…

Smile, and you could save a life …

Just smile … and feel the absolute sense of expansion, of being happy that the smile provokes in you …

And in a domino effect, your smile will touch the heart of the person who receives it, and in turn, that person will infect the people around him… and so on … your smile can really even stop a war…

It’s that easy… SONRIE!

Can you feel my smile? Follow…

Namaste

And you might be saving a life, or...be saved from a 'bad day'...

Sonríe y quizás estarás salvando una vida…o te evitarás entrar en las ‘garras de un mal día”…

Es el motor del amor...

La sonrisa es el motor del amor…

Your smile heals Rita!

Rita Tellefsdal, terapista dedicada, siempre sonriente…

    Querida hermana Gloria,

It was wonderful, enriching and memorable days with you Glorious sister….
Forever in my heart. I have copied the beautiful words of Kahlil Gibran that I talked about before you left..

One sentence stands out to me, as it is my truth too:

“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”

    On Joy and Sorrow

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?

Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter’s oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

Some of you say, “Joy is greater thar sorrow,” and others say, “Nay, sorrow is the greater.”
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.

Together they come, and when one sits, alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.
