Mexico, Art, Color and You

Welcome back to your happy platform!

Welcome back to another happy adventure seen from the perspective of my life: gratitude.

Grateful

 Grateful

 Grateful

For those of you who visit me for the first time, I welcome you to this platform, which I am very happy to share with you  how I freed myself from the power of “Poor Me” and returned to our natural state of being: “Excellent of me!”

It is with such joy and sense of privilege that I write to you from my home country, Mexico … a country full of color, art and happiness …

Selling sweet potatoes, sharing smiles… Ahhh..

My Mexico

Here the family plays a very important role. Respect for the elderly, the power of mother and grandmother, and the meaning of life after death, knowing that Death is Life in Disguise, allowing us to feel our ancestors  continuously and very closely …

Mexico has a “recognized” heart. It is the place from which independence against Spain was conspired and put into action: Guanajuato. In Guanajuato there is a small and magical village called San Miguel de Allende … who bewitched me when I came here 20 years ago … supposedly to stay five days, however, the magic had its effect and I stayed … four years, resulting in a phenomenal project that took 15 years to complete (and is still growing): Villas Xichu.

Villas Xichú, an oasis of happiness, awaits you!

And in this charming city of color, art and happiness, I was guided to a beautiful world of my own: Sindashi, a word in the otomi language meaning WHITE.

Capturing your spirit on the white canvas that will become art made fashion…

As Sindashi designer and founder Angela Nasta says:

“In Sindashi, we contribute to the preservation of these indigenous communities by giving wages and incentives for these women to no longer be mistreated and have a dignified life. All embroidery is made by the women of these indigenous communities, 50 embroider stones and 60 otomies embroider thread.”

Angela and I enjoying the magic of being “Sindashized” on the streets of San Miguel de Allende.

How can Color enrich your life?

It is well known that color affects human perception in an excellent way. There is plenty of information online regarding this statement in a scientific way if you want to know more.

However, on this Platform HappiestGloria, what I most want is to share with you my personal experience, in the hope that my way of perceiving life will encourage you to explore more in your own bubble of happiness. Yes, bubble. We all live in our own bubbles … and I’m so grateful for mine!

Dare to create your own bubble, with your colors, your flavors, your tastes… with everything that makes you feel good, staying true to you!

In my Lebanese house, honoring my mother Gloria, celebrating her life no matter what … no matter where …

Sindashizada

Since I met Angela Nasta and her fabulous pieces of art made of fashion, my life has acquired even more color and, in a sense, purpose.

How?

Just feeling how what I’m wearing affects my life in a very powerful way.

Feeling what you’re wearing has a definite impact on how you feel, so how you can share the emotions that govern your life.

When visiting Angela’s workshop, located in the magical, wonderful and mystical city of San Miguel de Allende, I could not help but enjoy the incredible collection of living art that made me return to a reality that I had not really explored: the influence of “art made of fashion”.

Angela and I happy at the Sindashi store in San Miguel de Allende.

Playful Angela admiring her creations.

Collection for Dubai… ahhh.

Planning what you like in the United Arab Emirates.

A dress that will captivate my admired husband upon my return…

These magnificent pieces of art are designed to please end users; for me it was much more than that: it awakened my senses so intensely that now I can no longer use anything other than Sindashi.

And the reason is clear: my love for my Mexico and my craftsmen makes me proud to use their amazing works of art.

While traveling the world, “I bring with me”  to those beautiful artists who would otherwise never be able to visit the remote corners that the world 🌎 offers us. For me it is a great privilege to simply dress up *with* these dreamy artists, knowing that every time I buy a Sindashi, I contribute to the economy of a family, to the dreamer’s dream …

As Angela declares:

“Our pieces are unique and have their own history, reflect the inspiration of their author … We want to convey through our pieces the richness of our cultures.

Each piece is handmade and signed by the author, giving it grandeur and originality. No piece is the same as the other. Each chronicles the inspiration of the artist, describing the roots of Mexican cultures such as the Aztec calendar or mayan pre-Hispanic figures, as well as events such as the eclipse of the sun or fabulous animals such as a mystical deer or a magical jaguar, which are very distinguished in the history of these cultures”.

And this, my friends, is another way to “deceive our brain” to give us the power to send us the famous endorphins needed to remain hooked to the reality of our choice: health, wealth and well-being …

And how would this be possible?
As I shared in my previous blog presenting indoor technology, it is we who choose the creation of the way we want to live: staying in gratitude no matter what happens provokes a serene and calm emotion in our body that the brain will detect as “everything is fine”, therefore it will send the command to produce the hormone happiness endorphin. Ahhh…
Otherwise, if we choose negative thoughts that contract us when we worry, judge, criticize or impose, our brain will detect a sense of distress or fear, sending the order to produce the stress hormone cortisol so that we can escape or defend ourselves from “danger”.

The brain will not know that the “danger” is not a mammoth chasing us, nor a dog that wants to bite us, but our thoughts of not earning enough money, or of not pleasing to such or that person or situation … cortisol will continue to occur as long as we have negative and fearful thoughts.
What do you choose?
Use the tools I shared on internal technology and the language of a happy life will be very useful for you to provoke YOUR happiness.  What a feeling of freedom!
Now yes, to spread your joy!
